ABOUT THE XI PI CHAPTER UPLIFT FOUNDATION
The Uplift Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the Xi Pi Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., is a 501(c)(3) public charity with a mission to uplift local youth. Through transformative mentorship programs and life-changing scholarships, we strive to unlock potential and build brighter futures.
At the heart of our work is the Samuel C. Hunter Scholarship Fund, named in honor of Mr. Samuel C. Hunter, Jr., a Colorado Springs resident, Tuskegee Airman, lifelong Fraternity member, and passionate advocate for education (add hyperlink). His legacy inspires our efforts to help young minds pursue higher education and achieve their dreams.
Since its inception, the Uplift Foundation has awarded $301,300 in scholarships to 118 deserving students. Our commitment extends beyond these scholarships, as we've also established permanent endowments totaling $605,000 at Colorado College and the University of Colorado Colorado Springs, ensuring long-lasting educational opportunities for generations to come.
By participating in this year’s tournament, you become an integral part of this mission. Together, we can continue to empower tomorrow's leaders and honor the legacy of Samuel C. Hunter, Jr.
